Mimoza Cana-Bishop embarked on her academic journey at Kosovo University, earning her degree in 2004. In 2007, she relocated to England after meeting her husband, who served in the British Army. Since then, she has been actively contributing to the field of dentistry for over 20 years.

In 2016, Mimoza joined the University of Manchester, where she completed her Master of Science in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry. She furthered her education by pursuing an MSc in Periodontology at the University of Plymouth, graduating in 2022.

Currently, Mimoza not only excels in her clinical practice but also engages in a teaching role at the University of Plymouth, where she shares her expertise and passion for restorative, aesthetic dentistry, and periodontology with aspiring dental professionals.

Renowned for her commitment to excellence and patient care, Mimoza continues to make a significant impact in the field of dentistry.

Outside of the Practice, Mimoza finds joy and balance by spending quality time with her family.

Dhai graduated from the BDS College of Dentistry at Baghdad University in 2005. After practising privately in North Africa, she relocated to the UK in 2011, where she furthered her education and training.

Dhai completed the International Qualifying Examination (IQE) and underwent vocational training, successfully passing the General Dental Council (GDC) exams at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute and King’s College London.

Her commitment to excellence in dentistry is reflected in her academic achievements, including the Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry (MFD) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow.

Additionally, she holds a postgraduate diploma in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry from Fresh Dental Institutes and a postgraduate certificate from Mizrahi Dental Teaching in London.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dhai is passionate about education and mentorship, actively engaging in supervising and mentoring new graduates and junior colleagues. She is also set to expand her expertise by beginning an MSc in Restorative Dentistry.

Dhai’s dedication to her profession and her commitment to fostering the next generation of dental professionals make her an asset to the field of dentistry.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Dhai finds joy by spending quality time with her family

Charlotte is a dedicated Dental Nurse with 20 years of experience in both the NHS and private sectors.

She has worked in the UK and globally, including New Zealand. Charlotte has been part of a team of professionals providing dental care to mistreated animals travelling to India and Armenia through International Animal Rescue.

Passionate about supporting patients on their dental journeys, Charlotte ensures they feel comfortable and cared for. She lives with her wife, Harriett, and their two children. In her free time, Charlotte likes exploring the beach with her family and their dog or cooking up something delicious in the kitchen, she is an avid baker.

Sam has been a Dental Nurse for almost 20 years. She has been working between NHS and Private practices over the years. Recently, Sam has had the rather rewarding job of working in the Special Care sector of dentistry, treating children and adults with complex medical needs who cannot be seen in general practice.

Sam has decided to put Dental Nursing on the back seat for now, instead focusing her time on being our friendly full-time receptionist here at Southside Dental. In between juggling her rather big, blended family of 7 along with her Partner Chris. In her spare time, Sam tends to the needs of her lounge of reptiles along with planning family road trips.

Safiyyah, a dedicated trainee dental nurse with a passion for patient care and a love for the fast-paced world of dentistry. Known for her friendly demeaner, she thrives on connecting with patients and hearing their unique life stories, believing that every interaction adds to the warmth of the dental experience.

Currently working towards her dental nursing qualification, Safiyyah is committed to mastering the skills necessary to provide exceptional care. Growing up in a big family has instilled in her a strong sense of community and the importance of relationships, both in and out of the dental practice.

When she is not in the clinic, you can find Safiyyah spending quality time with her family and friends, exploring new foods, and embracing new experiences. Her enthusiasm for life and her caring nature makes her an invaluable part of any team.
