New surgery welcomes capacity for new patients

The Southside Dental Practice team has been working tirelessly to prepare for the opening of our brand-new surgery, and decontamination room, just three months after taking over the business. This exciting expansion is a testament to our commitment to providing exceptional dental care in a welcoming and professional environment. As we get ready to open our doors, we are thrilled to offer our valued existing patients, their families, and friends the opportunity to book appointments in the new surgery. Dear Valued Patients,
It is with mixed emotions that I am writing to inform you of my retirement from Southside Dental Practice. After nearly 40 years in dentistry, I have decided that the time has come for Jayshree and I to transition into retirement and embark on a new chapter of our life.

We want to express our deepest gratitude for the trust and loyalty you have shown us over the years. It has been an honour and privilege to serve you as your dentist and to be a part of your oral healthcare journey. We have cherished the relationships we have built with everyone of you, and we will miss the six-monthly catch-up chats.
We will be leaving you in the capable hands of Dr Dhai Al-Ansari and Dr Mimoza Cana-Bishop.

Both Dhai and Mimi each have over 20 years’ experience in dentistry. Together, they hold multiple Master’s qualifications in fields such as Restorative Dentistry, Aesthetics, and Periodontology. Dhai is an expert in facial aesthetics and Invisalign treatments, services soon to be introduced at Southside Dental Practice.

Meanwhile, Mimi divides her time between teaching at Plymouth University, PhD research in oral health, treating complex dental issues, such as advanced gum disease, severe tooth wear and performing periodontal surgery. Mimi is currently planning a return with her family to Portsmouth, their hometown. Both professionals are dedicated to their young families and bring a compassionate and gentle approach to their treatments, and really look forward to meeting you all.

We will be finishing towards the end of August 2024, and working diligently in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition for all our patients to Mimi and Dhai.

Once again, thank you for entrusting us with your dental care. We are deeply appreciative of the relationships we’ve formed and the opportunity to be a part of your lives. We wish you all continued good health and happiness.

What We Offer

Southside Dental Practice offers a wide range of private treatments including white fillings, smile makeovers, zirconia crowns, tooth whitening, Inman aligners (a fast brace system), periodontal treatment, and bridges.

When it comes to covering the cost of your treatment there are two options. You can pay as you go, according to our private fee scale, or you can budget the cost using our monthly payment plan- by Denplan.
